Description
Corn Meal – Healthy supplementary feed for chickens & co.
Maize grits are a popular source of energy in poultry feed for chickens, quails, ducks & co. Thanks to the fine grain, the animals can digest and utilise the feed much better.
Along with wheat, oats and barley, maize is one of the best-known cereals and contains mainly carbohydrates, water, protein, fat and healthy minerals. The traditional cereal grain is a very good addition to your feed for chickens, quails, turkeys, ducks and other poultry. The high-quality natural product optimally supplies your feathered friends with important nutrients and at the same time provides a meaningful occupation (scratching and pecking).
As a whole grain, however, maize is often not appreciated by chickens as they cannot absorb and digest it well. For this reason, we have crushed our maize and finely ground it into maize grits. This makes it much more digestible for the animals than whole maize kernels or ground maize. Due to the improved digestion, the digestive system is less stressed and feed conversion is optimised. This saves you costs compared to other maize products, which is particularly interesting in fattening.

Feeding advice:
Maize contains a lot of starch and should therefore only be added as a small part to the basic feed. Depending on the breed, age, husbandry system and type of use, more or less maize can be fed. Basically, broilers need more maize feed than laying hens. Ensure a balanced nutrient supply and intake of protein, vitamins and trace elements.
